外面的世界/打起手鼓唱起歌 – 莫文蔚
beautiful reinterpretation of Qi Qin’s original. she has a way of enunciating her words. they sound very “wet”.

BUT, my favourite track off Karen Mok’s cover album of rather alternative Mandarin folk oldies/goodies has to be “半個月亮爬上來” where she goes operatic-electronic on the Chinese-Muslim folk song from Xin Jiang. sedap! sadly i dun think it’s any of the 主打歌s and she didn’t shoot an MV for it. it would have been a great premise for ethnic-pop visuals.
Sex Therapy – Robin Thicke
Robin Thicke makes me hyperventilate. can’t get enough of this song. couldn’t wait for the album to hit local shores, so i bought the album off iTunes. it’s amazing. much better than his previous.
sex therapy is obviously working for him. he’s gonna be a daddy soon! congrats, RT!
p/s: on another note – anyone feels RT is JT’s doppleganger? JT could have done this song equally well, except i feel the music video will be much better and steamier. RT seems a bit try hard. okay that’s me being hypcritical! peace out~!
Busy Weekend
This is going to be another busy weekend. Tonight alone, 2 parties. and the latter with free flow champagne. woohoo!
gonna squeeze in a gym session in a bit to notch up my metabolic rate before pigging out on canapes and shampoo tonight. changed my gym routine to include more compound lower body exercises. i’m aching all over as a result in places i never knew existed. pain is good. pain will get you far.
didn’t get to materialise our Durian Escapade last night – every stall was effin closed! either they had very few durians in stock, or they’d made their kill selling each thorned bomb at $80 a pop. or both. we did get to see Rain’s very single eyelids in The Ninja Assassin tho. I think his zero-% body fat is making those lids look even more anaemic. hahaha. and from some angles, he looked like JaJaBinks.
Are the first round of positive reviews of Avatar’s London Premiere to be trusted? i remain skeptical about the out-of-this-world efx that’s being boasted. the trailer is anything but. we’ll see next week.

if you can just look past that slightly irritating mouth, this is rather brilliant. well, until the voice starts getting irritating too. gotta love YT starlets.
Gaga Ooh Lala on Jay Leno
this bitch is crazy i tell you. actually she’s trying to be a cat in this one. great energy, but i still think she’s all over the place some times. i’ve seen so many of her performances and it’s always a coupla inches off perfection. she’s almost there, but never there. great potential though and a really exciting one to watch. Madonna, then Kylie, and now Gaga. i’m glad someone’s bringing showmanship back.
NIKOI VOGUE – A D.I.Y MTV
Okay, I’ve finally got clearance from the guys to upload this madness we concocted during our weekend getaway to Nikoi Island. It was a whole load of fun, sun(burn), and craziness.
Thanks to everyone for being such a great sport. Sharon doesn’t appear in the video cos she was the camera woman (and also her mum refused for her to be scantily clad like the rest of us lest she sells less Bah Kuah). Kev – get Johnson on FB so I can tag him!!!
