look! Shennon being interviewed by Wo Bao! haha. her daddy set up a music portal for local aspiring songwriters called SongsIWrite.com. it’s sort of a YouTube-ish site where you can upload your own compositions and users give feedback, ratings, and they even have a chart! one of the other investors of the SIW happens to be Kevin, Shaz and my mentor – Han Lao Bai Da lao shi!

here’s Linda singing Guoshen’s “让我留住你醉过的夜” at a showcase in Esplanade. it’s currently the top song on SIW.

(Huifen + Minsheng)'s Wedding – Night

here are more pixxies taken during the evening! Elaine & myself played MCs as usual. it was fun cos the last time we did that together was for my cousin’s wedding, and before that Huiqin’s wedding. and then before that was Baby Serene’s wedding. i reckon we’ll do the same honour when Shen & Guoshen get married! hurry up leh! i had a great time cos everyone who mattered was there, and everyone’s genuinely happy for the couple. we’ve been friends for the longest time. the couple’s already in Europe for their honeymoon, and the sister (Huiqin) and brother-in-law (Fye) will be joining them in London. have fun!

vorsprung durch technik

had a great evening at the Audi Revelations Champagne Party tonight. it was held at the much talked-about and rather exclusive One Degree 15 Yacht Club (capped at 4000 members and entrance fee about $40k!) at Sentosa Cove. the venue wasn’t as spectacular as i expected, but the real draws of the night were the food and endless flow of Moet (i’d prefer VC actually, but i’m not complaining!). the crowd was great too (apart from this poseur lady whose hubby bought a TT Roadster last month. observing her efforts of looking self-important went really well with my food!) speaking of which – the King Prawns were to die for! they were sooooo bloooody huge lor!

anyway, i spoke with our agent Paulina and am excited to learn that the SuperGorgeousSuperCar R8 will be launched here in October! but there’s already a waiting list of 1.5 years. oh man. Fifth Gear gave it a close-to-perfect review (the way he floors that machine is mad!). but i was surprised at his personal choice of supercar at the end of the video when forced to choose between the Audi R8, The Aston Martin AMV8, and the Porsche 911. hee hee.

(Huifen + Minsheng)'s wedding – Day

some pictures we took in the day! we were Minsheng’s Xiong Dis. Huiqin belonged to the Jie Mei camp cos she’s officially Huifen’s jie jie, so no choice. i only had 2 hours sleep as i couldn’t adjust back from my US time zone. but that didn’t daunt me and i thot i looked pretty fresh! more pix to follow.

frame the frames

the big problem i have with shopping for new spectacle frames is i can never see if they fit me well! i mean i remove my own specs and i’m almost blind as a bat. doesn’t help when i’m a quarter blind in my left eye these days. so the trick is to be a vainpot and take pictures with my mobile fone! tadah!
