i am a huge Dolce & Gabbana whore. but this post is about the other ‘D’. there was a time when i said i wouldn’t be able to wear Dior Homme. i meant what i said in part due to 2 reasons:

1. i didn’t think the skinny silouette fits me
2. i couldn’t afford it

i bought my first Dior ensemble in Bangkok last year, and wore it for X’mas in Tokyo 2008. since then i had fallen in love with DH. they are masters of understated class.

i went on a shopping spurt at Dior Homme today. heh heh. ION is my newly adopted playground. one major gripe: i wish there were cosier cafes selling less sinful expensive food. Marmalade Pantry sells calorie-bombs served by sotong-waiters (who must be employed by even sotonger bosses) with chi-chi price tags. the only alternative right now is the Tea Loft (which has tables so small and chairs pushed so near the tables you dun feel like lingering). but i digress. back to the shopping. 絶対楽しかったんです〜！ i love it when the staff has sound product knowledge, speak objectively (that is, if something obviously looks bad on me, tell me BECAUSE I KNOW!!), give excellent investment* advice (when you’re spoilt for choice and faced with a shopping dilemma), and passion in their house-brand. i experienced all that today at Dior Homme. thank you, Yiani! i was a happy bunny today.

a bit disappointed the shoe i’ve been lusting after for 2 months still hasn’t shown up. apparently there’s a super LONG waiting list. ho hum.

*shopping smart to put together a comprehensive wardrobe is equivalent to an investment.
** on another note, i got an end-of-month report from my financial advisor today, and YIPEEEEEE! the figures are looking great!

Raf Simons Spring/Summer 09 Hi Cut Sneaker

this just got in at Club21 Men’s today, and i couldn’t resist but i did! and then they alerted me to the many many points i’ve accumulated so i couldn’t resist it again! i tried them on, and omg, they’re perfect!! hee hee. i also picked up a really dope/fun passport cover – something i’ve been searching for a long time. using points too! so basically i went shopping without spending a dime today (but yes, to get those points you have had to spend in the first place).

i also picked up something really “auntie” (not at Club21. altho there were some “auntie” pieces which i wondered if anyone would buy, and Joe said YES!! hahaha!), but i’m going to try it out first and see if it works, and if it does, i’m going to share it with all of you!

i LOVE LOVE LOVE Dolce & Gabanna. i just got a pair of John Varvatos plastic aviator frames made yesterday so imagine my excitement when i just discovered they’ll be so next Season in Dolce’s catalogue!!

sorry been MIA – just i’ve been FB-ing more and lazy to log into WP. hee hee. how’s everyone? good i hope, with the year coming to an end.

i have a million and one things to settle before whisking myself off for my X’mas holiday, which i can’t wait!! 4 more days. yipeeee.  a few things which excite me this time – Akina’s new release on X’mas eve (first time a release coincides with me being there!); being able to utilise my newly acquired basic Japanese lingo; and NEIL BARRETT’S FLAGSHIP STORE!! the ENTIRE NB range is there, and they even have Gentei goods! there’s this NB X Porter Bag which is in very limited run of 50, and these awesome horse riding boots which i saw in Non-No and is absolutely lethal. YUM YUM.
